Mark Lawrenson has said that he has been amazed by what he’s seen from Manchester City this season.

The Blues are currently in yet another Premier League title race, with just two games left to play.

After beating Fulham 4-0 at Craven Cottage last weekend, City have their final away game of the season this evening at Tottenham Hotspur before Sunday’s home match against West Ham United.

With the Citizens just one point behind Arsenal at the top of the league table, they will have to win both of their remaining games if they want to become the first side to win four Premier League trophies in a row.

Having played 36 games league before tonight’s showdown in North London, Pep Guardiola’s side have been heavily praised by one pundit, who has also shared who he thinks will be crowned champions.

Speaking in a recent edition of Off The Ball, Lawrenson had this to say when asked if he thinks City will win the Premier League title this season.

He said: “Yeah, I’m not being funny but did you see them at Fulham on Saturday? It’s so good to watch.

“Purely and simply watching a team play football, they’re up there with any team I’ve seen or played in.

“They’re just amazing, the manager has it, he’s so driven, just a fantastic team to watch, they’re brilliant.”

Another impressive season for City

Out of their 36 league games, the Blues have won 26, drawn seven and lost three, scoring 91 goals – more than any other side in the division – and conceding 33.

Across those games, City have racked up more goal-creating actions (159) than any other side in the division and have the highest rate of shots on target per 90 minutes (6.89).

This highlights just how much of an attacking force City have been, showing why they have scored more goals than any other team in the division.

They’ve also earned themselves a higher overall team performance rating (6.96/10) than any other side in the league according to WhoScored, further evidence of how impressive they’ve been in this campaign and why Lawrenson has not only been so impressed by them but also why he thinks they’ll go on to win the competition again.
