In our view, Carlton Cole is right to tip Manchester City to clinch the Champions League only due to the Erling Haaland factor, as especially in Europe, there are not many superior players to him.
However, as Haaland has been misfiring in several games this season, there would be no better opportunity for him to return to his absolute best by producing a masterclass against Arsenal.
For the former Borussia Dortmund goalscorer’s confidence as well, to step up in City’s game of the season would give him the lift to have a tremendous end to the campaign.
If Erling Haaland adds to his goal tally against Arsenal, scoring two against them in three Premier League games, that could spur him on and in the Champions League, he could be purring again to torment teams in the competition once again.
