Over the years, Manchester City have had several players at their disposal who have raised the standards of the Premier League.
Ultimately, the quality of such players has played a huge role in City’s dominance of English football.
The likes of Vincent Kompany, Yaya Toure, David Silva and Sergio Aguero to name a few were stalwarts who stunned the rest of the Premier League with their brilliance — whether that be under Roberto Mancini, Manuel Pellegrini or Pep Guardiola.
In recent years, names like Kevin De Bruyne, Ederson Moraes, Ruben Dias and Rodri have also had a similar impact at the Etihad Stadium.
Manchester City’s excellent recruitment ensures that they will continue to sign players who will elevate their side.
As a result, perhaps City out of all the clubs in the English top-flight have players that have established themselves as Premier League legends in the past few years.

Jason Cundy says Man City superstar is making the Premier League look easy
Erling Haaland, for instance, is a player who either could already be an iconic figure in the league; and even if the masses disagree, they will acknowledge that he is set to become one sooner rather than later.
The Norwegian international is the embodiment of a player who raised the standards of Premier League football.
The 24-year-old broke the Premier League goalscoring record for a single season in his debut season and despite only having kickstarted his third season at City, he already has 72 league goals for the club.
On another day, the £51 million man could have netted three goals and scored his third successive hat-trick in his side’s 2-1 win against Brentford.
However, Mark Flekken had a day to remember while the post denied the star striker once.
Even so, Jason Cundy was full of praise for Haaland after his heroics for Manchester City once again as they beat Brentford.
Cundy said on talkSPORT (14/09/2024, 6:56 pm): “This boy, he is making a mockery of the Premier League. He is at the right place at the right time and then he scores. His upper body strength, his understanding of how to use his body and then the composed finish.”
Erling Haaland looks unstoppable this season
While Haaland has been an enigma ever since he burst onto the scene, he looks especially unstoppable this season.
Whether it be in terms of his finishing, his hold-up and link-up play, his pressing and his first touch, the Leeds-born marksman has been sublime in every regard.
Haaland is perhaps his most well-rounded version currently, which explains his incredible form at the start of the season.
As a result, Jason Cundy should perhaps expect the two-time Premier League winner to continue “making a mockery” of arguably the best league in the world.
Haaland will be determined to capitalise on his exceptional start and have his most productive season to date.
