Manchester City and Arsenal go toe-to-toe with each other at the Etihad Stadium in September.
The last time Pep Guardiola and Mikel Arteta’s sides faced each other in March, the much-awaited clash ended in a 0-0 draw.
So far, both City and Arsenal have been unbeaten in their first three league games.
However, unlike Manchester City, Mikel Arteta’s side have already dropped points as they were held to a 1-1 draw at the Emirates Stadium against Brighton & Hove Albion.
With how closely-held title races have been over the past few years, it almost seems catastrophic to drop points at any stage of the campaign nowadays; such are the fine margins, especially when competing with the Sky Blues for the league crown.
Both Manchester City and Arsenal will be hoping to make a statement when they encounter each other in September.
In their previous two meetings, the Gunners have the upper hand over City as they won 1-0 at the Emirates Stadium but at the Etihad Stadium, their woes continue.

Andy Morrison shares Manchester City vs Arsenal score
Arsenal have not beaten Manchester City away from home since January 2015; a streak they will be hoping to break next month.
However, City are a juggernaut at the Etihad Stadium; not losing a single game at home since their 2-1 defeat to Brentford in November 2022.
As a result, the Premier League winners would be heading into the game feeling quietly confident.
But their title rivals are a side that seem to be getting better and better with Kyle Walker admitting Arsenal are closing the gap on City.
However, Andy Morrison has backed Manchester City to beat Arsenal 1-0 when they lock horns with each other.
The pundit said in September’s edition of Manchester City’s magazine: “What a game! I think the Arsenal players will have Rodrigo’s words ringing in their ears and I can’t see them coming and closing shop again.”
“Last season, I think they thought they just needed a draw and that would be enough to edge the title race, this time I think they’ll go all out to win, which will make it more open. I still think the defences are too good for a goal glut so I’m going for us to just shade it.”
Man City will be the favourites against Arsenal
Andy Morrison perhaps rightly backs Manchester City to do the business against Arsenal.
On the basis of how both sides have started the season, City have not only won all their games, unlike the North London side but have also far more convincing.
The Sky Blues have been the superior side against Chelsea, Ipswich Town and West Ham United.
Arsenal, on the other hand escaped a potential defeat to Aston Villa due to their wasteful finishing while their draw against Brighton was an even game by the end of the contest.
Furthermore, City’s home record since 2022 is immaculate and with Arsenal’s struggles at the Etihad Stadium in general, they are the certain favourites a month ahead of the clash.
But for either team to take home the all-important three points, they will have to be at their absolute best.
