Manchester City became the first team to win four consecutive Premier League titles last season.
Pep Guardiola’s side won 28 of their 38 league games throughout the campaign, drawing seven and losing three.
City ended the season with 91 points, two more than Arsenal in second place, scoring more goals (96) than any other side in the division.
Now that the 2024/25 season is around the corner, a pundit has made a claim about one particular figure in the City squad and how much of an impact he has on the team.

Ray Parlour thinks Man City could be in trouble if Rodri gets injured
On the subject of who could play a key role in City’s upcoming Premier League campaign, Ray Parlour had this to say about Rodri in a recent video shared on the talkSPORT YouTube channel.
He said: “Rodri is another one. If he gets injured, there might be a little bit of trouble there. I think he is such an important player.”
Rodri is one of City’s most important players
Rodri appeared in 34 league games for the Blues last season, scoring eight goals and delivering nine assists along the way.
Having missed three games through suspension, these were the three games that City lost throughout the campaign.
To further highlight how much of a significant player the £220k-a-week midfielder is for the Citizens, he ended the season with the highest combined total of tackles and interceptions (96) at the club.
This isn’t the first time a talkSPORT pundit has emphasised how important Rodri is for City, as Jamie O’Hara said the same thing last month.
Taking all of that into account, it’s understandable why Parlour thinks Guardiola’s side could be in trouble if Rodri ends up getting injured at any point in the upcoming season, which hopefully won’t happen.
