Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin has said that Manchester City striker Erling Haaland is a better player than Kylian Mbappe.
The Norwegian is currently in the midst of his second season at the Manchester club and has already lifted five major titles with them.
Having seen Haaland finish above Mbappe, who has been widely touted to join Real in the summer, in the latest Ballon d’Or rankings, one current player at the Spanish club has shared his verdict on who he feels is the better out of the two young attackers.
Lunin says Haaland is better than Mbappe

In a recent video shared on social media by El Chiringuito TV, where Lunin was asked a number of ‘this or that’ questions regarding which players he prefers, the shot-stopper picked Haaland over Mbappe.
At the age of 23, the City striker has scored 206 goals in 259 senior club appearances throughout his career.
On the flip side, Mbappe has scored 269 goals in 349 senior club appearances, which shows how impressive the duo are when it comes to putting the ball in the back of the net.
In our view, the interesting aspect of this answer from Lunin is the fact that the Paris Saint-Germain star could well end up joining Real in the summer, so if the Frenchman sees this video, it’d be interesting to see if it has any impact if he joins the Spanish club and ends up sharing a dressing room with the goalkeeper.
From a City fan’s point of view, their only focus would be on seeing the Norwegian continue to score as many goals as he can and stay at the club for as long as possible.
Looking ahead to the future, we predict that if the duo keep scoring goals on a regular basis and winning major titles, it’ll only be a matter of time before they get their hands on a Ballon d’Or.
