Real Madrid star Federico Valverde has shared one thing he doesn’t like about playing against Manchester City.
The 25-year-old has 215 senior appearances for the Spanish giants under his belt, prior to today’s La Liga clash against Sevilla, winning numerous trophies along the way including one Champions League title.
Despite enjoying lots of success with Real, the Uruguayan has highlighted one club and specifically one stadium he has not always had the best experience.
Valverde shares one thing he hates about playing Man City

Speaking in a recent Q&A on Tik Tok, Valverde named the Etihad Stadium as the most difficult stadium he has played in throughout his career.
Having played the full 90 minutes in last season’s Champions League semi-final second leg clash that saw Pep Guardiola’s side thrash Real 4-0, this is a clear example of why Valverde isn’t a fan of playing at the Etihad.
With the midfielder also completing the full 90 minutes of City’s 4-3 win over the Spanish club in the Champions League the season before, this further showcases how difficult it has been for Valverde and the rest of his Real teammates to get a result at the Etihad.
Looking back to the most recent time Valverde had to battle it out in Manchester, the midfielder only had 45 touches of the ball throughout the entire 90 minutes back in May, which is the same amount of touches Luka Modric had on the night, even though he was only on the pitch for 63 minutes.

The Uruguay international failed to have any sort of attacking presence on the pitch as he was unable to have a shot at goal or make even one key pass.
Then from a defensive point of view, Valverde ended up losing seven of the 10 duels he was involved in, further highlighting how much he struggled to impose himself at the Etihad.
With all of that in mind, it’s no surprise that the Real star doesn’t particularly enjoy playing at City’s home stadium, which he may have to do again this season if the two clubs meet up once again in the Champions League.
