Bournemouth defender Max Aarons has named Manchester City star, Kyle Walker, as the best right-back in the Premier League.

Having made his Premier League debut back in 2010, the 33-year-old has gone on to make 379 top-flight appearances against numerous teams and players.

Now in the midst of his seventh season at City, the Englishman has found himself on the end of some significant praise from another top-flight full-back.

Speaking in a recent edition of the Filthy Fellas podcast, Aarons had this to say when asked who the best right-back in the league is.

He said: “If you were to have any left-winger in the league sat here and say who’s the hardest to play against, I think 19 out of the 20 left-wingers in the league would say Kyle Walker. [Aaron] Wan-Bissaka is very good at what he does, I just think Walker is relentless.”

City signed the right-back from Tottenham Hotspur back in the 2017 summer transfer window in a deal worth £50m.

Since then, Walker has made 276 appearances for the Citizens across all competitions, chipping in with six goals and nine assists, winning numerous trophies along the way including five Premier League titles.

Back in May, Danny Murphy said that the City star is “arguably the greatest English full-back” the Premier League has ever seen, which backs up Aarons’ point about Walker and his status.

In addition to that, Pep Guardiola labelled the England international as an “incomparable” and “unique” player.

Taking all of that into account, there’s no doubt that Walker is considered one of the best right-backs in the league, especially considering the longevity he has shown and how successful he has been at City in terms of playing a big role in their numerous title victories.
