Former NFL player Tom Brady has shared a social media message to Erling Haaland following Manchester City’s Premier League victory over Burnley.
Earlier this month, Brady entered a partnership with Knighthead Capital Management LLC to become a minority owner of Birmingham City and will “become Chairman of the new Advisory Board, working directly with the Club’s Board,” according to a recent statement.
After seeing the City star score two goals in their 3-0 win over Burnley in their opening match of the new Premier League campaign, Brady took to social media to share a message about the Norway international.
Brady shares Haaland post

In a recent Twitter post, Brady had this to say about Haaland.
He said: “Relieved to not see @ErlingHaaland on the schedule yet.”
To simplify, Brady claims that his Championship side will not have to face off against the City striker this season due to his deadliness in front of goal.
Haaland scored City’s first two goals in the first half of the match at Turf Moor before Rodri got his first of the season in the second period to secure the victory.

Bearing in mind how the 23-year-old managed to score 52 goals in 53 appearances last season, it’s easy to see why the new Birmingham investor sees this as a benefit for his club to stay in the Championship for the time being.
However, deep down, Brady and the rest of the Birmingham owners and investors will be hoping to see the Midlands club do all they can to win promotion to the Premier League, even if that would result in having to come up against City and their star striker in the future.
From City’s point of view, they’ll be delighted that they got their Premier League campaign off to a strong start by picking up three points and keeping a clean sheet.
