Ilkay Gundogan has reportedly found himself on Paris Saint-Germain’s transfer target list ahead of the upcoming summer window.
At the end of the month, the 32-year-old will see his current contract at Manchester City expire, leaving him with the option of potentially joining another club if he doesn’t sign a new deal at the Etihad Stadium.
According to a recent report from French media outlet, L’Equipe, PSG are interested in signing the City captain as a free agent this summer as they want to add a goalscoring midfielder to their team.
The report also adds that Arsenal and Barcelona have an interest in the German, who Pep Guardiola said back in May is an “incredible” player that “can do everything” on the pitch.
PSG have also been linked with another City star in recent weeks, with Bernardo Silva being reportedly eyed up as a suitable replacement for Lionel Messi.
Gundogan is on the brink of making history with City
Focusing on Gundogan, the midfielder has made 303 appearances for the Citizens across all competitions since his arrival in 2016, scoring 60 goals and delivering 40 assists along the way.
Having lifted his first Premier League title as City’s captain last month, as well as the FA Cup last weekend, the German now has the chance of making club history and lifitng their first ever Champions League trophy.
