Manchester City could reportedly cash in on three young players this summer in addition to James Trafford.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Burnley are closing in on a £19m move for the goalkeeper.

Now, three more young players on the books at the Manchester club have been touted to make permanent moves away from the Etihad Stadium.

A recent report from The Athletic had this to say on the matter following on from the news regarding Trafford’s proposed departure.

It said: “It is expected that a few more young players will bring in a significant amount this summer, too, and Trafford is just one of those. Tommy Doyle (21), Taylor Harwood-Bellis (21) and Callum Doyle (19) could all fetch seven figures as well.”

The trio spent last season out on loan deals, with Harwood-Bellis helping Vincent Kompany’s Burnley make their way back to the Premier League from the Championship, similarly to the older Doyle, who spent the season at Sheffield United, who will also be in the top flight next season.

The other Doyle spent last season with Coventry City, where he made 46 appearances in total across all competitions.

In our view, if the Manchester club don’t feel that either of these players are likely to be getting regular game time at the Etihad Stadium in the near future, perhaps cashing in on them could be the best option for all parties, especially if whatever money they get for them can be used on strengthening their squad this summer.

Moving forward, if any suitable offers come in for any of these three players, City should definitely consider numerous factors before sanctioning any deals, one being what the best option would be for the players and their careers.
