RB Leipzig have reportedly already identified their ideal replacement for Manchester City transfer target Josko Gvardiol.
Earlier this month, it was claimed by Fabrizio Romano that the Manchester club are pushing to agree personal terms with the defender over a potential move to the Etihad Stadium this summer.
With that in mind, some behind-the-scenes details have come to light regarding who Leipzig see as a potential replacement for their Croatian centre-back.
Leipzig identity Gvardiol replacement amid City interest

According to a recent report from Bild, Leipzig want to sign Lens defender Kevin Danso this summer and see him as a suitable replacement for Gvardiol should he join City in this window.
This suggests that the German club could be planning for life after Gvardiol should he find himself joining Pep Guardiola’s side this summer.
If that is the case, this could be a big sign that City are likely to strike a deal with Leipzig for them to sign the defender, who the club apparently wants €100m (£86m) for.

Having featured in 41 games for the German club last season and started 24 of the 30 Bundesliga games he appeared in, this highlights how important he is for the team and why they may be reluctant to let him go unless a suitable and significant transfer fee comes their way.
Moving forward, if Leipzig do end up signing Danso, or any other defender they may be looking at, this could pave the way for City to launch an official move for Gvardiol before the summer transfer window closes.
