Kyle Walker is reportedly expected to join the rest of his Manchester City teammates on their flight to Japan this evening to kick off their pre-season tour.
It was reported some days ago that the 33-year-old had verbally agreed to join Bayern Munich on a permanent transfer move.
Now though, a fresh update has emerged regarding the defender’s immediate plans.
Walker expected to join City squad in Japan

According to a recent update from Sky Sports News (via Football Daily), Walker is expected to join the rest of the City squad on their flight to Japan this evening, despite his future still being up in the air.
Having been linked with a move to Bayern since last month, it was then reported that the Manchester club are prepared to offer the defender a new two-year deal to keep him at the Etihad Stadium.
This shows how keen they are to keep hold of him and out of Bayern’s clutches.

Last season saw the right-back feature in 39 matches for Pep Guardiola’s side across all competitions, donning the captain’s armband on a few occasions.
Having been left out of the starting XI for the Champions League final against Inter Milan, this could be why the full-back has been weighing up a potential move to Bayern.
With the England international now set to link up with his fellow treble winners again, this pre-season period could be the ideal time for the club to convince Walker to continue his journey with them and help them regain the titles they won last season.
