It has been reported that Manchester City look the likeliest to sign Real Madrid legend Toni Kroos in January.

This comes from the Daily Star as the World Cup winner continues to get linked with a move away from Carlo Ancelotti’s side.

It seems like if Toni Kroos does leave Real Madrid in January, it could well be for Manchester City.

Branded as ‘very intelligent’ by Pep Guardiola, the pair worked in tandem at Bayern Munich.

Despite being 33 years of age, Kroos remains one of the best midfielders in the world, as especially proven by his evergreen displays last season.

Now, it has indeed been reported that Manchester City will have the ‘first pick’ of every interested club to sign Toni Kroos in January.

It has been revealed that the German international is being offered to several Premier League clubs, with the player himself fancying a move to England to take a crack at things.

Alongside City, the other suitors for the five-time Champions League winner include Newcastle United, Manchester United, Chelsea and West Ham United.

Toni Kroos seems the likeliest to reunite with Pep Guardiola

It seems like if Toni Kroos is indeed prepared to leave Real Madrid in January, the Premier League club he would likely join is Manchester City.

For starters, the midfield maestro would perhaps be making an upgrade in his career by signing for the treble-winners, who dispatched the Spanish giants 5-1 over two legs in the Champions League last season.

To add to that, Toni Kroos would also have the chance to reunite with Pep Guardiola, with the pair striking up a successful partnership during their time in Bavaria.

Lastly, the other Premier League clubs in question simply do not hold a candle to Manchester City currently and have not in recent years, which would make Kroos’ decision relatively easy, at least logically speaking.
