Ange Postecoglou was a huge success at Celtic and is doing extremely well at Tottenham Hotspur at the moment, and he is now being linked with Manchester City as a potential replacement for Pep Guardiola.

Pep Guardiola is one of the best managers of all time and is a Manchester City legend.

In November 2022, Guardiola signed a new contract with City that will see him stay in charge of the Premier League club until the summer of 2025.

The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager seems very happy at City, and the fans absolutely love him.

Guardiola won City the Premier League, the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup last season.

And, do not bet against the Citizens doing the treble this campaign as well.

However, Guardiola is not going to be at City forever.

There will come a point when he leaves.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou linked with Manchester City

According to The Athletic, one of the potential replacements for Guardiola at City could be Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou.

Postecoglou was appointed the Spurs boss in the summer of 2023.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy told the club’s official website at the time: “Ange brings a positive mentality and a fast, attacking style of play.

“He has a strong track record of developing players and an understanding of the importance of the link from the academy – everything that is important to our Club. We are excited to have Ange join us as we prepare for the season ahead.”

The Australian came to Tottenham from Celtic in Scotland.

During his time at Celtic, Postecoglou won the Scottish Premiership title twice, the Scottish Cup on one occasion, and the Scottish League Cup twice.

The Athletic has reported that City Football Group (CFG) admire Postecoglou.

The report has claimed that “Ange Postecoglou was also very highly thought of on the CFG side of things before he had even moved to Celtic in 2021 and won two Scottish titles in his two years there, thanks to his work at Yokohama F Marinos (the group’s club in Japan) and elsewhere”.

My View: Manchester City should keep tabs on Ange Postecoglou

I believe that Manchester City should monitor Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou.

It will be interesting to see how Postecoglou does at Spurs.

No one expects the 58-year-old manager to win major trophies with Tottenham.

The Australian is playing wonderful football at Tottenham, and fans are loving it at the moment.

Postecoglou also comes across as a very likeable character in press conferences.
