According to The Mirror, Manchester City have added Real Sociedad striker Alexander Isak to their list of attacking targets.
City know that Sergio Aguero’s contract expires this summer, and the Argentinian may well move on after 10 years at the Etihad Stadium.
Gabriel Jesus is yet to really show that he can take over in the long-term, and that means City are looking at alternatives.
Isak is one target, having hit 10 goals in his last nine games for Sociedad, sparking City’s interest in the Swedish talent.
Aged just 21, Isak was a young starlet with AIK Solna before heading to Borussia Dortmund in 2017.
A giant striker at 6ft 4in tall, Isak is a little different to what City currently have in attack, which may well appeal to Guardiola.
Isak is quick and physical, whilst his recent run in front of goal has shown just how clinical he can be when given chances to score.
Dortmund can re-sign Isak thanks to a £25million buy-back clause, but he doesn’t want to go back to Signal Iduna Park.
Sociedad would demand around £60million from any other club, meaning City now have to decide whether they think the youngster is value for the money at that huge price.
