Newcastle agree deal to sign Manchester City wonderkid Alfie Harrison
The 18-year-old, who is known for having a penchant for getting goals and assists from midfield has managed to generate a buzz around his name at the youth level.
Last season, the teenager managed to score six goals and four assists in 21 appearances for City’s U-18s in the U-18 Premier League, which points to how prolific he is from the middle of the park. In this campaign as well, Harrison has registered eight goals for the U-18s in all competitions.
Now, The Athletic have revealed that Newcastle have agreed a deal to sign Alfie Harrison for an undisclosed fee.

Furthermore, the highly-rated young talent is expected to undergo a medical in the coming days before signing a long-term deal at St. James’ Park.
It has been claimed that Newcastle’s interest in the silky technician stems from the presence of Paul Midgley, who left City to become the club’s head of youth recruitment.
It seems like the plan in place for Harrison is to provide him with a clear path to the Magpies first-team.
Not the end of the world for the treble-winners to have lost Alfie Harrison
At a club like Manchester City, they have plenty of future superstars in the making in the mould of Alfie Harrison, which is why it seems like they were open to letting him make a move to Newcastle.
Names like Oscar Bobb and Micah Hamilton have already started to showcase this season that they could be staple members of City’s starting XI one day.
As a result, City have no reason to fret over Harrison’s imminent exit, even though he is a top talent.
