Manchester City could be seeing former striker, Felix Nmecha, make a return to the Premier League this summer as Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing him.
The Citizens have seen numerous players leave the club over recent years, with some going to other Premier League clubs and others joining sides from abroad.
Now though, it has been claimed that one player City let go of not that long ago could be set to make a return to England.
Newcastle eyeing Nmecha move
According to a recent report from The Telegraph, the Tyneside club are readying a bid to sign the midfielder from Wolfsburg.

The 22-year-old spent four years in City’s youth ranks before joining the German club back in the 2021 summer transfer window.
During his time at the Manchester club, the midfielder made 86 appearances for their youth sides, scoring 27 goals and providing 14 assists in the process.

Nmecha also made three senior appearances for the club, one of which saw him get an assist in a five-minute cameo in City’s 3-0 win over Olympiacos in the Champions League back in 2020.
Since joining Wolfsburg, the midfielder has scored three goals and supplied seven assists in 50 appearances across all competitions.
In fact, his latest Bundesliga campaign saw the former City youngster end the season with an overall performance rating of 6.86/10 from WhoScored, making him the fourth-highest-rated player at Wolfsburg.
With Newcastle preparing for Champions League football next season, their recruitment staff must have seen something in Nmecha to believe he is worth making a move for.
Moving forward, it’d be interesting to see if the Magpies do end up signing the midfielder and see how he fares back in the Premier League.
