It has been reported that Manchester City stalwart Bernardo Silva is still keen on a move to Barcelona in the summer of 2024.

Bernardo Silva is still dying to join Barcelona amid Manchester City release clause rumours
Branded as ‘so smart’ by Kevin De Bruyne, the 29-year-old has been speculated with a transfer to Blaugrana for the past couple of summer windows.
Time and again, the Spanish giants’ financial woes seem to obstruct them from making a move for the versatile attacker, who puts his head down and continues to make history at the Etihad Stadium.

Nunes could be viewed as the succession plan if Bernardo leaves
It would not be a surprise if one of the best run clubs in the world in Manchester City have been preparing for Barcelona target Bernardo Silva to leave next summer and as a result, insisted on bringing in Matheus Nunes this season.
While Nunes may not be as comfortable on the wing like his countryman, he is similar in the respects of being a technically gifted midfielder in deeper areas, being a proficient ball-carrier and extremely industrious.
And under Pep Guardiola, the 25-year-old is only likely to grow leaps and bounds.
Perhaps City view Matheus Nunes as the long-term replacement for Bernardo Silva after all and are also preparing him to succeed him for years to come.
