Rio Ferdinand has lavished praise on to Jack Grealish for his impact on this Manchester City side, especially since the World Cup.

The £270,000-a-week (Salary Sport) man was recently described by Harry Redknapp as his ‘favourite player’ in the Premier League, as he continues to look the part in sky blue.
After Manchester City beat Leicester City 3-1 on Saturday, Rio Ferdinand reserved special praise for Jack Grealish.
Rio Ferdinand raves about Jack Grealish
The 27-year-old was dismissed by many as a player simply not at the standards required at City and deemed him as a flop.
But since the return of club football, Grealish has perhaps been his side’s best player and hugely responsible for their turnaround in fortunes.
Rio Ferdinand waxed lyrical about Jack Grealish on the FIVE YouTube channel, while breaking down his excellent performances in the last couple of months.

“We’re in such a stat-driven era that you can shape it to suit your argument. But with Jack, he hasn’t scored some of the goals some of the wide players have scored and hasn’t had the assists but his impact on this team right now and his importance in this Man City team can’t go unnoticed.”
“He takes the ball under mad pressure, he releases pressure for his team, his positioning is phenomenal, his defensive work is outrageous, like you saw against Liverpool and his impact in the big games and the big moments, man! He’s putting the ball on a plate for people like [Erling] Haaland to score.”
“He’s doing everything I’m sure Pep [Guardiola] wanted him to do. And because it’s £100 million, people go, ‘oh, he hasn’t scored enough goals’ but it’s all about impact.”
Ultimately, Rio Ferdinand is bang on the money about the England international, whose influence on games for Manchester City is second to none.
