Rio Ferdinand has lavished praise upon Manchester City sensation Jeremy Doku after his heroics against AFC Bournemouth on Saturday.
Speaking on FIVE’s official YouTube channel, the popular pundit gave his two cents on the £55 million (CBS Sports) man’s performance.
It’s safe to say that Rio Ferdinand was left awestruck by yet another Jeremy Doku masterclass.
Rio Ferdinand raves about Manchester City speedster Jeremy Doku
Branded as ‘clever’ by Pep Guardiola, the Belgian winger registered a staggering four assists as well as a goal against the Cherries.
The 21-year-old was at his devastating best, tearing defenders apart with his incredible dribbling, showcasing his brilliant eye for a pass and his decisiveness in front of goal.
Now, Rio Ferdinand has lauded Jeremy Doku, who put in arguably the best performance of his career.

“Doku’s come into the league and put every right-back on notice. Five goals involvements this weekend. A winger who is baking and shaking the full-backs, standing them up, get past them”, he said.
Jeremy Doku is only getting better and better
Much like Rio Ferdinand, the world were stunned witnessing Jeremy Doku singlehandedly annihilate Bournemouth in the manner that he did.
What was also intriguing to watch unfold is how game after game, the youngster seems to be improving and adding tools to his skillset.
For instance, for his opening striker, the lead-up to Bernardo Silva’s first goal as well as his second strike, the former Rennes wideman found joy from central areas.
At City so far, he has largely stayed out wide and wreaked havoc but this was not the case against Bournemouth.
Similarly, Doku also struck the perfect balance between knowing exactly when to take on his man and when to retain the ball.
Adding end product to a performance where he dazzled, the highly-rated speedster put in the perfect winger’s display, as his game continues to mature under Pep Guardiola’s guidance.
