Manchester City are through to the semi-finals of the Champions League again after advancing past Bayern Munich – and after the game Rio Ferdinand showered praise on Bernardo Silva.
City drew 1-1 with the German giants last night, meaning a 4-1 aggregate scoreline.
Erling Haaland scored his 48th goal of the season.

He struck in the second-half, after missing a penalty in the first.
Haaland scored clinically into the top corner after a slip by centre-back Dayot Upamecano.
Bayern levelled through Joshua Kimmich from the penalty spot. The decision to award handball against Manuel Akanji was correct, but the law has been been strongly criticised.
It was a great performance from City.
They defended well at the Allianz Arena and didn’t really allow Bayern to have genuine hope at any point.
One man who stood out was Silva playing from the right.
He was excellent in the first leg and it was more of the same last night.
Silva was up against his City teammate Joao Cancelo, who is on loan with Bayern of course, this time rather than Alphonso Davies.

And it was an uncomfortable evening for Cancelo, with Silva showcasing some fantastic dribbling at times.
After the game, the Portugal international came over to the BT Sport punditry team for a chat.
He spoke about the game, Haaland and City’s potential to win the Champions League.
Just after he left, Ferdinand sang his praises.
He said: “By the way, he’s not only a great player but his communication skills are phenomenal. He’s one of my favourite players to watch in the league. He’s a majestic footballer, a little magician.
“He keeps the ball, paints pictures with that left foot. He must be a wonderful player to work alongside.
Bernardo Silva is one of the most watchable footballers in the world, as Rio Ferdinand sings praises
Ferdinand is probably not alone in saying Silva is one of his favourite players to watch.
He is an absolute joy to observe going about his craft.
The way he is able to keep hold of the ball in tight situations is remarkable sometimes.

And then you also have the other side of his game; the work-rate and the tenacity. He is a gifted technician, but he is also outstanding out of possession.
He is just an incredible footballer, and it will be a sad day when he leaves the club.
