Manchester City have beaten Arsenal to the Premier League title in the two previous campaigns.
In City’s Treble-winning season, they finished five points above the Gunners in second place.
The previous campaign saw the gap close to just two points as Pep Guardiola’s side became the first team to win four consecutive league trophies on the final day of the season.
On Sunday, the two sides met for the first time this term with the game ending in a 2-2 draw.
After the match, a pundit and former top-flight player made a claim regarding one of the big names in City’s squad.

Robbie Savage makes Rodri claim after Man City vs Arsenal
While discussing Sunday’s big clash at the Etihad Stadium in a recent edition of 606 from BBC Radio, Robbie Savage had this to say about Rodri and how he compares to the level of players Arsenal have in their squad.
He said: “Rodri would be Arsenal’s best player.”
Rodri is one of the best players in the world
Having played a key role in City’s Treble-winning season, Rodri then followed that up by helping his side win their fourth consecutive Premier League title as well as pushing Spain to win the 2024 European Championship.
After placing fifth in the 2023 Ballon d’Or rankings, the midfielder has recently been nominated for the 2024 award.
In fact, Cesc Fabregas recently said that he thinks Rodri should win the Ballon d’Or ahead of Vinicius Junior who has also been mentioned as a potential favourite for the accolade.
Taking all of that on board, not only can the City star be seen as being a better player than any Arsenal figure due to the number of titles he’s won in recent years, but he can also be viewed as one of the best players in the world.
