Vinicius Jr decided not to attend the ceremony to witness Rodri beat him to the Ballon d’Or in Paris.

Rodri lifted the Ballon d’Or trophy on Monday after George Weah ended the confusion surrounding the winner by announcing his name on the Theatre du Chatelet stage.

Vinicius’ reaction to Rodri winning the Ballon d’Or was to send a cryptic message on X that suggested he was unhappy about the result.

Toni Kroos sent shots at Rodri’s Ballon d’Or triumph as well as Rodrygo Goes.

Eduardo Camavinga supported Vinicius after Rodri’s Ballon d’Or victory by sticking to his stance that the Brazilian is the “best player in the world” over the midfield maestro.

Rodri expressed his delight at winning the Ballon d’Or as he was grateful to be bestowed with such an honour.

Rodri reacts to Vinicius Jr not attending Ballon d’Or ceremony

Aymeric Laporte reacted to Rodri lifting the Ballon d’Or as well as Fernandinho by congratulating their former Manchester City teammate.

The 28-year-old’s remarkable CV looks even more impressive after his latest feat.

Rodri revealed that Vinicius and Real Madrid are entitled to take their own decisions as they did by snubbing the Ballon d’Or ceremony.

The Spaniard said via the Daily Mail: “They have their decision. They didn’t want to be here for their reasons. I accept that.”

“I just focus on my club and my teammates and the people who are here and happy to congratulate me and that’s it.”

Rodri was belting out his chant after his Ballon d’Or win while celebrating the award with his family and colleagues.

The Manchester City maestro will be remembered by Premier League and football fans for decades after becoming a Ballon d’Or winner — an accolade midfield greats like Clarence Seeforf, Toni Kroos, Andres Iniesta and Xavi Hernandez also have not won.

But now, the former Atletico Madrid conductor has a special place in history.

Lamine Yamal and Gavi react to Rodri winning the Ballon d’Or

Lamine Yamal was supporting Rodri in the Ballon d’Or race and his wish came true.

Yamal told Mundo Deportivo that he was delighted with his countryman’s historic accomplishment.

“I’m very happy for Rodri. I hope to win the Ballon d’Or soon, it would be a dream.”

Gavi also congratulated Rodri with a special message on Instagram.

“Congratulations, friend, very deserved.”

When top players like Yamal and Gavi are singing Rodri’s praises, it is believable why he remains unbothered by all the noise surrounding his victory.
