Roy Keane has now shared his thoughts on Manchester City in the Premier League title race after Sunday’s 1-0 loss to Arsenal.

The 52-year-old was speaking about the Citizens on The Overlap.

So, what did Roy Keane say about Manchester City and the Premier League title? Let’s take a look…

What’s the story?

Well, the Irishman was asked if he thinks Arsenal will win the Premier League title after Mikel Arteta defeated Pep Guardiola at the Emirates Stadium.

Keane said: “City over the last few years, they’ve got bigger. Set pieces are huge. They can win the league (Arsenal) but they would need that striker… I’m still sticking with City. I’m not budging on City.”

Clearly, Sunday’s result has made no impact whatsoever on the Sky Sports pundit’s prediction, which is quite right.

Manchester City are still clear favourites for the Premier League title

Yes, Arsenal currently have bragging rights over Manchester City, but the Gunners are only two points ahead as things stand.

Last season, the north Londoners obviously had a huge eight point lead over the Citizens midway through March, and still managed to finish second.

Therefore – despite Sunday’s defeat – there is still a long way to go for Guardiola and his side, who often peak later on in the campaign.

There should be no feeing of pressure internally at the Etihad Stadium either as a result of last season’s efforts to claw back Arsenal’s lead.

Even if the situation gets worse, Guardiola and his players will be buoyed by what happened last season, and also possess the experience of what to do in these tough situations.

We agree with Keane – the Premier League is still Manchester City’s to lose this season.
