Despite Jack Grealish getting on the scoresheet against Tottenham Hotspur, Roy Keane has urged him to up his game at Manchester City.
On Sky Sports (03/12/2023), the popular pundit reflected on Grealish’s time at the Etihad Stadium.
It seemed like the 28-year-old had scored a late winner for the Sky Blues against Spurs before Dejan Kulusevski scored the all-important leveller for the contest to eventually end as a 3-3 draw.
Roy Keane says Jack Grealish “has to improve” after Manchester City vs Tottenham
Graeme Souness had also claimed that the Englishman should be “concerned” about his future at the Etihad Stadium, considering he seems to have lost his place in the side to Jeremy Doku.
With Doku being the antithesis of Grealish in terms of being a direct winger, many have questioned whether the latter has become surplus to requirements for City.
Now, Roy Keane has also been critical of Jack Grealish, despite his lively display as an impact substitute for Manchester City against Tottenham.

“When you’re playing for a big team, winning trophies costing £100 million, his end product has to improve in assists and goals. It’s all good making movements, affecting the game but at this level affecting the game about putting the ball in the back of the net.”
“Jack [Grealish] will be feeling the pressure. He’s had a difficult spell and had one or two injuries. But he’s got to get back to what we know. We have to get that sharpness back”, Keane told Sky Sports.
A strange time to criticise Jack Grealish
In our view, if the only ask from Roy Keane was for Jack Grealish to produce more end product for Manchester City as he did by scoring against Tottenham, that would perhaps be a fair demand.
But overall, the former Aston Villa captain has been excellent for City.
After all, last season, Grealish was one of his side’s standout performers as they went on to win the treble.
While this campaign, Jack Grealish has also not got a run of games, due to rotation and injuries to showcase his class on a consistent basis.
On a day when the latter did step up to the plate, it is surprising to hear why questions have been asked about his performances.
