Pep Guardiola is about to enter his ninth season in charge of Manchester City.
At the end of his previous campaign, the 53-year-old saw his become the first team to win four consecutive Premier League trophies.
After then having City complete a pre-season tour of America, Guardiola then took his player to Wembley Stadium once again for another Community Shield clash.
Facing off against their close rivals Manchester United, the City boss was spotted looking rather angry with one particular thing he saw towards the end of the first half.
This then led to one pundit and former United player sharing what he saw of the incident.

Roy Keane reacts to Pep Guardiola being angry at halftime in Man City vs Man United
Speaking on ITV’s coverage of the game at halftime, Roy Keane had this to say in reaction to Guardiola arguing with City’s goalkeeping coach Xabier Mancisidor on the stroke of halftime after seeing Ederson kick the ball out of play with an attempted pass.
He said: “Pep is certainly frustrated obviously with the performance, they’re not as sharp as you’d expect them to be, but certainly upset with the goalkeeper.
“It was the goalkeeper coach he was arguing [with] going down [the tunnel]. In other words, you have a word with that goalkeeper because he is giving it away so cheaply, it’s not like him.”
Guardiola showed how high the standards are in his City team
In our view, the fact that Guardiola was so infuriated with the way Ederson ended up misplacing a pass even just before the halftime whistle was about to be blown shows just how high his standards are for the way his players do their jobs.
Therefore, if the City manager, who said at the end of last month that he would love to extend his contract at the club beyond next year, gets the message through to his players about how well they need to play, this should work well in their favour throughout the upcoming season.
