Ruben Dias has played alongside numerous top-class players during his time at Manchester City.
Since arriving at the club from Benfica back in 2020, the defender has featured in 178 games in total, sharing the pitch with 48 different players along the way.
With the 27-year-old about to begin his fourth Premier League campaign with Pep Guardiola’s side, Dias has taken the time to heap praise on the mindset of one of his City teammates.

Ruben Dias uses one word to sum up Man City teammate Erling Haaland
Appearing in a recent video shared on the FUBO YouTube channel, Dias was asked to sum up certain club and country teammates in just one word.
When asked to describe Erling Haaland, the defender used the word “driven” to define the striker.
Haaland’s mindset makes him a special player
Since arriving at the Etihad Stadium back in the 2022 summer transfer window, Haaland has made 98 appearances for the club across all competitions, scoring 90 goals in the process.
This isn’t the first time the £375k-a-week striker has been hailed by one of his City teammates for his mindset.
Specifically, back in May, Manuel Akanji said that Haaland “never loses his hunger” when it comes to scoring goals.
In addition to that, Danny Murphy praised the Norwegian’s “strength of mind” when it comes to resisting the urge to get involved in City’s build-up play rather than stay in his usual position and wait for the ball to come to him.
Now that Dias has used the word “driven” to summarise the City star, this further highlights how much of an elite mindset Haaland has and why it makes him such a special player for the Blues.
With a new season approaching, this will once again give the centre-forward the chance to prove how strong he is mentally when it comes to scoring goals and fighting for more trophies.
