Ruben Dias has said that Bernardo Silva is the main clown in the Manchester City squad.

Having completed their third Premier League campaign together at the Etihad Stadium, the defender has shared some details on what his midfield teammate is like in the dressing room.

Speaking in a recent video from the official FA Cup YouTube channel, Dias said this about his fellow countryman.

He said: “Bernardo Silva, he’s a clown. Bernardo is definitely the guy I get along [with] the most. He’s also Portuguese like me.

“It’s a big joy for me to share these moments and to be at this club playing at this level with him.”

Dias and Silva’s time at City so far

During their time together at City, the duo have featured in 111 games together across all competitions prior to today’s FA Cup final against Manchester United, picking up a rate of 2.64 points per game.

The pair have also featured for the senior Portugal team together by playing in 43 games together.

With Dias (22) and Silva (24) both starting more than half of City’s league games this season, this shows how important they are for the team.

In fact, with Silva featuring in multiple midfield and attacking positions throughout the campaign, this highlights the versatility he offers the team and why he has been such a prominent figure in the side.

Now that the centre-back has revealed that his fellow Portugal international is a clown in the dressing room, this will give the City supporters more of an insight into the midfielder’s personality.

Looking ahead, given how successful the pair have been on the pitch for the Manchester club, everyone connected to City will be hoping the duo will continue where they are for the foreseeable future.
