Ruben Dias has shared his thoughts on Manchester City teammate John Stones and the connection they have on the pitch.
The Portuguese international recently brought an end to his third Premier League campaign with the Citizens, picking up his third league title in doing so.
With the centre-back now in with the chance of winning his first FA Cup and Champions League, the 26-year-old has shared some details on the relationship he has with one of his City teammates.
Dias has strong relationship with Stones
Speaking in a recent video from the official FA Cup YouTube channel, Dias said this about Stones.
He said: “What can I say, I love the guy. Since I’ve came we’ve just had this special connection.
“Definitely a player and a person that I’m very happy to have by my side.”

During their time together at the Manchester club, the duo have featured in 61 games together across all competitions, conceding 38 goals in the process.
In fact, out of the 19 games they’ve both played in together this season across all competitions, City haven’t lost a single match.
This highlights how impressive the defensive pair have been and how well they work together, which backs up what Dias said about him having a strong connection with the Englishman.
Stones, who City signed back in 2016 from Everton in a deal worth an overall fee of £50m, has also shared his praise for the 26-year-old previously by saying this about him back in February 2021.
He said: “You can only give credit to him for moving countries, coming to a new club and playing the way he’s played straight away. He’s been outstanding and that’s just down to him. It’s a massive credit to him.”
Moving forward, if the duo can do their bit in City’s upcoming finals, they will surely give Pep Guardiola’s side a great chance of winning both games and ending their season on a massive high.
