Chris Sutton has shared his prediction for Manchester City’s upcoming Premier League match against Bournemouth.
The Citizens picked up a 1-0 win over Brentford at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday night thanks to a goal from Erling Haaland.
Their next game sees Pep Guardiola’s side travel down to Bournemouth to take on the Cherries as they look to take another step towards potentially regaining the Premier League title.
Looking ahead to this match, one pundit has shared his prediction for how it could pan out.
Sutton backs City to beat Bournemouth

In his latest column for BBC Sport where he previewed and predicted the scores for this weekend’s Premier League fixtures, Sutton had this to say about City’s upcoming match at Bournemouth.
He said: “Manchester City were a bit ugly in their win over Brentford on Tuesday night, but they got the job done in the end. I can see something similar happening here, with City having to fight for it but finding a way to win.
“Bournemouth have not won since Boxing Day, but they were unlucky not to beat Newcastle last week and they don’t appear to be in any relegation danger. I can see them scoring against City, but they won’t have anything else to celebrate.”
Back in November, the Citizens beat Bournemouth 6-1 at the Etihad Stadium, with Jeremy Doku providing four assists on the day.
Since then, Andoni Iraola’s side have only lost three of the 13 league games they’ve played.
However, the Cherries haven’t won any of their six previous matches, drawing three and losing three, scoring six goals and conceding 14.
Even though City had a successful game last time they met Bournemouth and the fact that the Cherries are in a bit of a dry run of form, we feel that this could be a tough game for Guardiola’s side to get all three points from, despite Sutton’s prediction of an away win.
