Mick McCarthy has claimed that Wolves attacker, Hwang Hee-chan, should have been sent off in the first half against Manchester City.
The Citizens went in at halftime 1-0 down at Molineux after an own goal from Ruben Dias put the hosts ahead.
Even though the home side had a goal advantage by the midway point of the game, one former City player and Wolves manager reckons the Manchester club should have had a man advantage before the halftime whistle blew.
McCarthy says Hwang should have been sent off for Wolves

Speaking in the club’s halftime livestream on their YouTube channel, McCarthy had this to say about Hwang, who had been given a yellow card in the 24th minute of the game, and his late challenge on Kyle Walker towards the end of the half.
He said: “The commentator said if it’s his first challenge, and he hasn’t been booked, he gets booked for that. So what’s the difference? Is it a sympathy vote?
“I don’t want to see players get sent off, I love a tackle and people doing it, but he actually missed the ball.
“It was out of frustration I think because he’d had a chance to score and when it got blocked off he just tackled Walker. It was a bad tackle, it was a booking and he should have been off.”

The first half saw Pep Guardiola’s side have 69% possession of the ball, with two of their 13 attempts at goal being on target.
With the away side being behind in terms of the scoreline, seeing Hwang pick up a second yellow card at the end of the first half probably would have given them the confidence to turn the game around in the second half.
However, if the game doesn’t end with a result that City would have hoped for, it will be interesting to see if any questions get asked about the referee’s decision to not give the Wolves attacker a second yellow card for his challenge on Walker.
