‘Sooner than expected’: Pep Guardiola has good news regarding ‘incredible’ Manchester City player

Believe it or not, Manchester City are not missing Kevin De Bruyne at the moment.

Well, not really.

Now, of course, I am not saying that Manchester City do not need Kevin De Bruyne.

De Bruyne is one of the best players on the planet and is a world-class midfielder.

Manchester City are a better team with De Bruyne in it.

However, Pep Guardiola’s side are doing just fine without the Belgium international midfielder right now.

City have picked up 18 points from their seven Premier League matches so far this season.

The Citizens are also at the top of UEFA Champions League Group G with six points from two matches.

De Bruyne has been on the sidelines for City since the opening game of the season.

Pep Guardiola update on Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne

City manager Pep Guardiola has now given an encouraging update on the situation of the midfielder he himself described as “incredible” in August 2022.

Although De Bruyne was initially ruled out for up to five months following hamstring surgery, Guardiola thinks that the midfielder could be back sooner.

And, that is very good news indeed for City fans.

City’s official website quotes Guardiola as saying about De Bruyne “Kevin comes in at different times, either before training or for his treatment.

“After training he sees physios, and so on.

“Of course I see him every day and he’s getting better, and his mood is good.

“Hopefully (he will be back) sooner than expected.”

My View: Kevin De Bruyne return could make Manchester City unstoppable

In my opinion, Manchester City could become unstoppable once Kevin De Bruyne is back to full fitness.

If City, as expected, continue to win matches and play good football, then the Belgian’s return would make them even better and more potent.

And, that would be scary

Very scary.

How would the opposition cope with City then?
