A summer of change could be in store for Manchester City.
Up to eight players could leave Manchester City as the decision-makers at the Etihad Stadium have realised that it is high-time they rebuild their squad.
Such a dramatic squad rejig took place at City in the summer of 2017 and yielded incredible results — as Pep Guardiola masterminded the Sky Blues’ Premier League title triumph as they accumulated a record 100 points.
With Manchester City having several young players on their books such as Savinho (20), Jeremy Doku (22), Oscar Bobb (21) and Claudio Echeverri (19), they could lead the club into their new era as they aim to win trophies galore once again.
Jeremy Doku “unsettled” at Man City and he eyes La Liga move
Pep Guardiola referred to Doku as “incredible” as he in particular seems to be coming into his own in recent games.
Doku was excellent against Aston Villa while during his cameo against Everton as well, he turned the game on its head.
However, journalist Steve Kay has revealed that £55.5 million man Doku is unsettled at Manchester City and is eyeing a shock move to Spain.
Kay said on the KS1 TV YouTube channel: “I had a conversation with someone very close to Man City, a very interesting conversation, we spoke about a lot of things, the players who could be leaving, we already know De Bruyne is leaving, there was talk about Doku, [Bernardo] Silva and [Mateo] Kovacic.”
“Doku, I’m being told he’s quite unsettled there, he hasn’t really settled since he arrived, and the way he’s performed on and off, I can see that. I’m being told he wants to go to Spain.”
Pep Guardiola could be ready to sign one Jeremy Doku upgrade
Pep Guardiola held a meeting with Rodrygo Goes’ father about a potential move.
Rodrygo’s father was told that his son would start on the left-wing if he decided to join Manchester City, which could be bad news for Doku.
City fans will be sad to see the back of the former Rennes winger if he genuinely ends up leaving as he is incredibly gifted.
