Some Chelsea fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Manchester City target Ian Maatsen against Fulham.

Manchester City have been linked with Chelsea youngster Ian Maatsen.

Maatsen, who can operate as a left-back or as a left-winger, is out of contract at Chelsea at the end of the season.

On September 7, 2023, 90min reported that Manchester City, who won the Premier League, the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup last season, are interested in bringing the 21-year-old to the Etihad Stadium.

The report claimed that Chelsea are in talks with the youngster and are trying to convince him to sign a new deal.

Maatsen was in action for the Blues against Fulham in the London derby on Monday evening, and his performance impressed some Chelsea fans on social media, as you can see below.

Chelsea beat Fulham 2-0 away from home at Craven Cottage in the Premier League game.

The youngster saw a good effort come back off the frame of the Fulham goal.

With Fulham trying to score, Maatsen had to be defensively alert and could not show his attacking prowess as much as he would have liked.

During his time on the pitch at Craven Cottage, Maatsen took one shot, played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 54.6%, won one header, took 20 touches, made one tackle and one clearance, and put in two crosses.
