De Bruyne was named in Manchester City’s matchday squad during their latest 2-0 win against Sheffield United, as he warmed up on the sidelines during the contest.

It seems like the Liverpool boss echoed several fans, managers and players’ sentiments by making such an admission (via journalist Lewis Steele) about the City midfielder.

What Jurgen Klopp said about Kevin De Bruyne

As things stand, Pep Guardiola’s men are five points adrift of Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table with a game in hand.

Despite losing the £54 million (The Independent) man to a long-term injury in their first league game of the 2023/2024 campaign, the Sky Blues have managed to stay in the race to reign supreme as the champions of England.

“Kevin De Bruyne is warming up and the whole country is starting to shake”, he said, as quoted by Lewis Steele.

Kevin De Bruyne should consider this admission as praise

The fact that a title rival as well as one of the best managers in the world in Jurgen Klopp has admitted to the fear factor surrounding Kevin De Bruyne and his return should flatter the man himself.

It seems like many believe that if the 32-year-old instantly hits the ground running, he could singlehandedly help City blow their competition for the title out of the water.

Such is the quality, pedigree and experience that Kevin De Bruyne possesses.

Jurgen Klopp is seemingly aware of the Belgian maestro’s undeniable influence on Manchester City’s fate.

De Bruyne should be over the moon by such recognition from a fellow great of the game, as he has the chance to further cement his legacy as one of the Premier League’s best-ever players.
