Arsenal Invincible Lauren has hailed Pep Guardiola as the best manager in the world, as he assessed his old club’s chances of bridging the gap to Manchester City.

City have enjoyed a very good start to the new campaign.

So far, it’s five wins from five in the Premier League for the Citizens.

City produced another solid display at the weekend, beating West Ham United 3-1 to hand the Hammers their first defeat of the new season.

City fell behind, but were able to mount a comeback.

After last season’s Treble win, things are looking well – and in the eyes of Lauren, City are still well placed to win the Premier League.

The England international, who of course was targeted by City in the summer, is already a firm favourite at the Emirates.

But despite his addition, Lauren reckon City are still top dogs in the Premier League

He said (Daily Mail): “They are absolutely the team to beat.

“They have got incredible quality in the starting XI and on the bench.

“You have a manager like Pep Guardiola, who has been winning titles in every league he’s coached in. With all the respect to Jurgen Klopp and Arteta, he’s a step ahead of everyone.”

Pep is clear

Lauren is right to suggest that other elite coaches don’t come close to Pep.

What he has done at City over the last seven years is absolutely incredible.

Not only has he won many trophies, but he has also blessed fans of English football with a brand of football that is simply amazing to watch.

He has constantly reinvented and innovated, and it has been amazing to see him work his magic at the Etihad.

And then of course, you have to consider all his achievements with Bayern Munich and Barcelona too.
