Erling Haaland is not at his absolute best at the moment, but the Manchester City striker has still scored more goals than any other Premier League player so far this season.
However, that is not enough for Liverpool legend and ESPN FC pundit Steve Nicol to include the striker in the Premier League Team of the Season so far.

Well, former Liverpool player Don Hutchison has not included Manchester City striker Erling Haaland in his Premier League Team of the Season so far.
And, Steve Nicol agrees.
Nicol, a Liverpool legend, does not think that Haaland has been as good as Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak this season.
Former Los Angeles Galaxy and Venezuela international forward Alejandro Moreno has pointed out that Haaland has scored more goals than Isak and thinks that he should be part of the Premier League Team of the Season so far.
Isak has scored six goals in seven Premier League matches.
Haaland has scored eight goals and given one assist in eight Premier League games.
Nicol said on ESPN FC: “Haaland has not been as good.”
Moreno responded: “We are evaluating Haaland on the historic pace that he set last season which is unrealistic.
“Compared to everybody else, he is still scoring a bunch of goals. He leads the league in goals scored.”
Nicol replied: “He missed a load of chances. Does that not count How many has he missed? How many has he missed?”
The former Liverpool star added: “Here’s a question. How many goals does Isak have if plays for City?”

In my opinion, Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has to be included in the Premier League Team of the Season so far.
Yes, the 23-year-old did not look great against Arsenal and Wolverhampton Wanderers before the international break, but we cannot ignore the fact that he is the top scorer in the Premier League at the moment.
Haaland is not at the levels of last season yet, but he has still been better than a lot of players this campaign.
