Nathan Ake has praised his Manchester City teammate Oscar Bobb ahead of tomorrow night’s Champions League last 16 clash with FC Copenhagen.

The Dutch defender faced the media in a press conference, with City looking to continue their magnificent form tomorrow night.

City have won their last 10 matches in a row, and things are really starting to click now.

Pep Guardiola has key players back in Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland, and there is a growing feeling that City can go on one of their runs in the second half of the season.

But Guardiola’s whole squad will be important in the coming weeks, and it’s possible we could be seeing plenty of Oscar Bobb…

Guardiola is likely to field his strongest possible XI tomorrow night as he seeks a solid result in the first leg of the last 16 clash with Copenhagen.

So it may be that Oscar Bobb will be starting on the bench, with Jeremy Doku, Bernardo Silva, Jack Grealish and Phil Foden probably more likely starters in the wide areas.

Bobb has enjoyed a great season so far at City.

Pep has handed him a handful of opportunities to shine after he broke through the first-team in pre-season, and Ake reckons the club have a serious talent on their hands.

He said: “I really, really like him. He’s technically unbelievable. He has a big, big future for sure! He listens to everyone, wants to get better, willing to learn and every game he plays, he looks impactful!”

Bobb is a potential superstar

It is going to be so exciting to see how Bobb develops at City because the early signs are so promising.

Bobb has made 15 appearances so far this term, and he has had some very impressive outings playing in a variety of positions across the front line.

Bobb – whom Guardiola has asked to try and imitate Cristiano Ronaldo – has never once appeared fazed playing in this team of word-class players.

He has looked so at home in a City shirt, and he really could develop into a superstar at the Etihad. The players clearly think extremely highly of him. Before Ake’s comments this evening, Bernardo Silva also said recently that Bobb is ‘a big talent’.
