Kevin De Bruyne was sensational on Tuesday night but Pep Guardiola thinks one of his defenders did something better.
Manchester City demolished a spirited Luton Town 6-2 to advance to the FA Cup quarter-finals at Kenilworth Road.
The victory keeps City in contention to win what would be a remarkable back-to-back treble as they are just a point off Premier League leaders Liverpool and are going strong in the Champions League.
Erling Haaland was the star of the show as he bagged the first five goals of the night in clinical fashion, becoming the first City player to score five in a match twice.
But he was rivalled for the Player of the Match award by Kevin De Bruyne, who set up the first four with a string of excellent assists.
However, Pep Guardiola gave the pass of the night to Kyle Walker instead.

City had been knocked back to 3-2 just after the break and were looking a little nervy. At least until Walker stepped up.
From his position on the right, the £45m man played a sublime outside-of-the-boot pass forwards which cut Luton’s defence open and set De Bruyne through into the box.
The brilliant Belgian then slid the ball across for Haaland to gleefully tap home.
Speaking to ITV after the match, De Bruyne’s four assists were put to Guardiola who replied: “But the best assist was Kyle Walker!”

Though it was a fantastic pass, it will not go down as an assist in the record book for Walker.
Instead, De Bruyne has taken his assist tally up to 11 in just 12 appearances so far this season.
The 32-year-old missed the first half of the campaign with a severe hamstring injury but is now already top of the City assist charts.
It just shows De Bruyne’s immense talent and he has a real chance of being named player of the season despite not playing a significant chunk of it.
If he can stay fit and continue to develop his connection with Haaland, City are going to win many more trophies.
