Manchester City journalist, Sam Lee, has confirmed the rumours linking Kyle Walker with a summer transfer move to Bayern Munich.
Earlier this week, it was claimed that the German club had identified the Englishman as a potential transfer target and had even begun talks with him about a move.
Now though, one journalist, who is particularly familiar with things going on around the Manchester club, has shed some extra light on the matter.
Lee backs up Walker rumour

In a recent Twitter post, Lee said this on the situation.
He said: “In the house style: Kyle Walker to Bayern Munich: True. Still a bit of work to be done but the expectation is that the deal happens. New challenge for Walker, who has one year left on his City deal.”

The defender joined the Citizens back in 2017 from Tottenham Hotspur in a deal worth an overall fee of £50m.
Since then, the Englishman has gone on to make 254 appearances for the club across all competitions, scoring six goals, supplying 18 assists and winning numerous trophies along the way.
Having featured in 39 games for Pep Guardiola’s side during their recent treble-winning season, completing the full 90 minutes in eight of their nine final Premier League games of the season, this shows how important the England international is for the team.
Despite not starting the Champions League final, his performances in the two semi-final clashes against Real Madrid, where he was praised for his individual efforts against Vinicius Junior, this further showcases what he offers City in their important moments.
With that in mind, we feel that if Walker does end up joining Bayern this summer, it would weaken City’s squad and require them to find a suitable replacement.
