Scott Minto has said that in his opinion, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is the greatest manager of all time.
Speaking on talkSPORT’s Premier League Access podcast, he gave his two cents on the Catalan tactician.
According to Scott Minto, no manager in the history of the game is on the level of Pep Guardiola.
Scott Minto calls Pep Guardiola the ‘GOAT’
Owen Hargreaves had a similar opinion about the Spaniard, as he believes that no manager across any sport is as innovative as him.
Branded as ‘unbelievable’ by Manchester Evening News, the 53-year-old is widely considered as one of the best the game has ever seen, alongside the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson, Jose Mourinho and Carlo Ancelotti.
Now, Scott Minto has also said that Pep Guardiola is in a league above the rest of the coaches to have ever graced the game.

“Look, they couldn’t have a better manager. You know what I think about Pep. I’ve spoken about Pep, I think he’s the GOAT [greatest of all time] and you [Alex Crook] think Fergie [Sir Alex Ferguson] and I get that.”
“I just think he’s the person who will keep them on and on, and he’s already shown last season that he would drop players if they were not absolutely at it.”
Pep Guardiola should be the popular choice as the greatest manager of all time at this point
Scott Minto makes a fair point about Pep Guardiola, who trumps the rest mainly due to his influence on the sport itself.
Arguably regarded as the best league manager in history and only second behind Carlo Ancelotti in terms of Champions League triumphs, the former Barcelona boss’ style of play and innovations have influenced teams and other managers across the world.
While Guardiola’s contemporaries have silverware and incredible stints to look back on, the manner in which his philosophy has impacted every country he has managed in separates him from the rest.
