Bernardo Silva has opened up about the uncertainty surrounding his future at Manchester City.
After helping his side win the treble in his latest season at the Manchester club, the midfielder has been linked with a move away from the Etihad Stadium.
Now on international duty with Portugal ahead of their upcoming Euro 2024 qualifying matches against Bosnia-Herzegovina and Iceland, the 28-year-old has shared some words on his situation at City.
Silva addresses City future

Speaking to Eleven Sports (via City Xtra), Silva had this to say when asked about his City future.
He said: “I’ll be very honest, I don’t know. We’ll see in the next few days. Even if I knew, it wouldn’t be the space to talk about it [in the national team]. I really want to win a Euro, or a World Cup for Portugal.”
The Portuguese international was linked with a move away from City last summer, with Barcelona supposedly on his tail.
Having decided to stay with Pep Guardiola’s side and going on to win the treble, Paris Saint-Germain have now been mentioned with a move for Silva.

While he wasn’t giving too much away, there is still some uncertainty around the player and whether or not he’ll be at the club next season, even though his contract isn’t set to expire until 2025.
Bearing in mind how much of a prominent figure the midfielder has been in the team last season in terms of featuring in all but six of their matches across all competitions and playing the full 90 minutes in all of City’s Champions League games after the group stage, this would make a potential summer exit a big blow for the team.
In our view, unless the Portuguese international tells City he’d be unhappy if he were to stay for another season, the club should have no intention of letting him go.
