Vitaliy Mykolenko has revealed that Oleksandr Zinchenko has heaped praise on Manchester City legend David Silva in private.
Of course, Zinchenko had the chance to play and train with the Spanish legend at the Etihad Stadium.
The now-Arsenal defender claimed in August last year that the retired midfielder was the best player he has ever played with.
The Ukrainian technician admitted that he feels “lucky” to have played with a player like David Silva, who he believed “reads the game on another level.”

Zinchenko and Silva won the 2017/2018 and the 2018/2019 Premier League titles in tandem at City, alongside the FA Cup and two Carabao Cup trophies.
Being a left-back, the 27-year-old had the chance to play on the same side as the World Cup winner, who was deployed as a left-sided midfielder by Pep Guardiola.
When Vitaliy Mykolenko was quizzed about which Premier League legend he would have loved to have played with, he named David Silva and revealed what Oleksandr Zinchenko used to say about him.
“Second one, David Silva. [Oleksandr] Zinchenko said about him he’s the smartest player. Technical, smart”, he said in an interview with Sky Sports.
The Everton defender’s first pick was Leighton Baines, who is regarded as a legend at Goodison Park.
In December, Unai Emery also admitted that he would have loved to have had David Silva in his current Aston Villa team, when asked to pick any one player of his choice out of every Premier League icon from the past.
It does not come as a surprise that the Manchester City hero has had such an impact on teammates, players and managers across the game as he has.
David Silva was a gem of a player and while watching him, not only were onlookers mesmerised but it seemed like a footballing lesson every time he was on the pitch, especially for City and Valencia.
