Jack Grealish is quite the character – and Erling Haaland has said the winger was pretty much exactly how he expected him to be when he first met him.
Haaland is now into his second season at the Etihad.
Grealish is into his third now since his £100 million move from Aston Villa.
The 28-year-old is still yet to convince some fans that his transfer was worthwhile.
But thing that’s always been certain with Grealish is that he’s a player with real personality.
And Haaland has been speaking about the first impression he had of the England international…
Haaland tells Grealish what he thought of him at first
Haaland and Grealish sat down with Sky Sports to conduct an interview.

And it was a little different than usual, with the players themselves actually asked in each other the questions.
One of the first questions was Grealish asking Haaland what his first impression was of him.
He said: “I kind of saw, I knew he was a funny guy. And that was the truth as well. He’s really funny and jokes a lot. I think this is also really important to just not think too much and just be yourself and have fun and to enjoy. I think that’s important.”
Haaland also told Grealish that if he could have one of his footballing attributes, then it would be his ball control.
Haaland and Grealish have a great bond
It is very clear that Haaland and Grealish get on particularly well.
At one point in the interview, Grealish even says that it is ‘a match made in heaven’, as they are very similar and both like to have the craic.

You can tell watching them interact with each other that there very good mates.
And as Haaland says, this is very important for feeling comfortable and therefore being in position to play to their highest possible level.
