Julian Alvarez has shared what he wants to do in the future after his very successful first year at Manchester City.

The striker recently scored two goals in City’s 4-0 win over Fluminense in the final of the FIFA Club World Cup, making it their fifth major title of 2023.

This then led to the 23-year-old having a chat with the club’s media regarding what their next step will be after having such a successful calendar year.

Speaking to the club’s official website after the win in Saudi Arabia, Alvarez had this to say when asked about his future.

He said: “The truth is that I am very happy at Manchester City. I have been at the club for a little more than a year. I feel very happy with everything we have achieved. Last season and from the first moment they have helped me a lot.

“I have grown a lot as a player, as a person, so in terms of that, I am happy at the club. And obviously one continues to dream and continues to want to win more titles. Now our goal is to win them all over again!”

During his time at the Manchester club, Alvarez has made 75 appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side across all competitions, scoring 27 goals and providing 14 assists in the process.

Bearing in mind how the centre-forward was linked with a move to Bayern Munich during the previous summer transfer window, it’s nice to hear that his focus is on continuing to be as successful as possible with City.

With Alvarez having scored eight goals and supplied eight assists across the 21 combined appearances he’s made in the Premier League and Champions League this season, if he can continue delivering goal contributions for City, he’ll give them a great chance of lifting even more silverware in the coming months.
