Tim Sherwood gives Manchester United ‘zero chance’ against Manchester City in derby prediction

While John Stones was injured for the Manchester Derby in the previous fixture in the red side of the city, he is fully fit and firing this time around, while Rodri has also returned from suspension now.

As a result, Pep Guardiola’s men look like clear favourites ahead of the contest on Sunday.

Now, Tim Sherwood has said that as per his prediction, Manchester City will run riot against Manchester United.

“No. Simple as that. Zero chance. Zero chance. There’s no chance. They didn’t look organised out of possession, how are they going to get the ball of them? To be fair though Jules [Breach], their best chance is counter-attacking, that’s what they are”, he said.

“They can’t handle the ball, they don’t dominate possession, they counter attack and they got the threats to be able to do that. Bruno [Fernandes] and Marcus Rashford are a threat, [Alejandro] Garnacho when he comes on, [Rasmus] Hojlund but smart money says it can only be a Man City win.”

Manchester City should get the job done

Tim Sherwood has a point and simply put, the gulf in class between Manchester City and Manchester United is enormous.

Despite City not having hit final gear so far, they remain the best team in the world.

Manchester United, on the other hand are at their lowest point during Erik ten Hag’s reign.

As a result, Manchester City should be leaving Old Trafford with smiles on their faces next weekend.
