Manchester City superstar Jack Grealish has admitted that he eats chocolate on a daily basis.
Considering Grealish is an elite athlete, one would expect him to indulge in sugary snacks once in a blue moon or during the summer.
After all, it was reported by the Manchester Evening News in March 2017 that Pep Guardiola had banned the sale of sugary items to promote healthy eating.
As a result, players and staff at Manchester City could only eat such items if they decided to purchase such eateries from outside their place of work.
Recently, former City right-back Bacary Sagna told journalist Chris Wheatley that if any player was overweight by even a single kilogram, the Catalan boss would prohibit them from training with the first-team squad.
Jack Grealish admits he eats chocolate “every day”
However, Jack Grealish seems to have quite a relaxed diet, as he has admitted to eating chocolate daily.

“I have a sweety cupboard next to the fridge”, he told the club’s in-house media.
“Loads of sweets and chocolates and biscuits and stuff.”
When quizzed about how often he opens this cupboard, Grealish replied, “Every day.”
“There’s nothing wrong with a little chocolate with a tea in the night, is there?”
“Everything but dark chocolate. White chocolate, I love biscuits, bourbons, sweets. Caramel digestives, banging!”
“When we’re on away games, I bring sweets and chocolate for the lads for after the game, if we won.”
Recently, even Kyle Walker admitted that his pre-match meal is a bowl of rice pudding on FIVE’s official YouTube channel.
Jack Grealish does not eat such sweets in excess, which is all that matters
Ultimately, Jack Grealish is a top athlete and he knows his body best, which is why one cannot criticise him for indulging in a piece of chocolate from time to time.
One can assume the £300,000-a-week (Sport Rac) man was doing the same last season but it was not as if he looked sluggish on the pitch whatsoever, with his work rate being off the charts.
If Grealish was indulging in sweets on an excessive basis, perhaps it would be a concern and damage his fitness levels.
But that does not seem to be the case and while Jack Grealish may have a more relaxed diet in comparison to other players, not much can be said if it suits him.
