As Manchester City gear themselves to face Newcastle at St. James’ Park in the Carabao Cup, Pep Guardiola provided an injury update about Jack Grealish and Mateo Kovacic.

Huge news for Manchester City
Both Jack Grealish and Mateo Kovacic looking set to come on as substitutes in the Carabao Cup is a hugely positive update for Pep Guardiola and his side.
If the pair look fit and firing once again, they could play from the off against Wolves, which will put them in good stead from a fitness standpoint ahead of City’s much-awaited contest against Arsenal.
With Rodri’s suspension, Mateo Kovacic is likely to be one of the primary candidates to deputise in place of him as a defensive midfielder.
While the control, big-game experience and intelligence on and off the ball that Jack Grealish brings to this Manchester City side will prove key against Arsenal and that too at the Emirates Stadium.
