West Ham United are expecting to receive another bid from Manchester City for Declan Rice.
After seeing Arsenal get two bids rejected for the midfielder, the Citizens made their own offer worth £90m, which was also turned down by the Hammers.
Since then, the north London club have reportedly sent in a third bid worth £105m to sign the Englishman, who has been described as a “world class” player previously by Adrian Durham.
Now though, a fresh update has emerged regarding the current state of affairs in this particular summer transfer saga.
West Ham waiting for second City bid for Rice

In a recent Twitter post, journalist Jacob Steinberg said this on the matter.
He said: “West Ham waiting to see what Manchester City bid this morning. Talks ongoing with Arsenal over the structure of their £105m bid for Declan Rice. Size of the offer fine, but all about the payment terms. It’s still just about Arsenal’s to lose.”
City broke the English transfer record back in 2021 when they signed Jack Grealish for £100m, which has since been eclipsed by Chelsea’s £106m move for Enzo Fernandez last January.
With that in mind, it appears that they’ll have to break their club transfer record this time around if they want to beat the Gunners to Rice’s signature.

Given the clear eagerness Arsenal have of securing the 24-year-old, City will have to make sure they not only offer the sort of fee that West Ham are looking to pick up for the player but also structure it in a way that is suitable for the east London club and will make them accept.
However, if the European champions feel this transaction isn’t suitable for them, it would be their best option to walk away and focus on other potential transfer targets before the summer window closes.
